interior painting

painted this newly renovated home in blackrock, colours are from the fleetwood range in this property, (also painted the kitchen units in my previous post) in this particular property there was  a lot of cleaning up to do due to bad plastering, we rectified the poor work and made good the walls and ceilings again.....always check you plaster work as its easy to miss a bad job until the painter comes along, on the spindles you can see a nice clean finish to the handrail separating stain and paint, again using woodock on the handrail, great stuff........

hand painted kitchen

hand painted this custom made kitchen using farrow and ball, lot of time spent on the finish, properly sanding preparing the units, then finished and buffed up the timber counter using a product called woodock, very nice product, very durable and hard wearing...... also painted the kitchen walls/ceilings to finish the place off.....

floor sanding/re-finishing

we sanded this floor back to brand new again, thr floor had bad scratches,  black wet patches from the cat, and chips from wear and tear, all these issues were taken out of the floor and it is brand new condition again.....

painting and feature wallpapering

water damage

this old building in Dublin city had a fairly bad roof issue for some time, the water had penetrated the shell of the building and the salts from the plaster known as efflorescence has pushed the paint from the wall all over and created a pretty bad stain, we scraped it all off,primed the entire wall using a shellac primer and skim coated over the whole wall pretty much, back to normal, always treat roof leaks before trying to repair the walls and ensure they are fully dried before starting, it can be a messy job so give me a call if you have an issue like this and need it fixed PROPERLY.....

exterior gate restoration

here we have very badly water/UV damaged teak gates, you can see in the first picture i have sanded the rotten parts right back to make good the timber, unfortunately these gates were too badly damages to apply a clear coat and restore them to new, so I had to use a new colour to bring them to this level of quality using sadolin extra durable exterior wood stain, good product.....

exterior painting

re-painted these very old and weathered sash windows, they had been badly worn as they are near the coast, paint work gets more worn near the sea as winds are higher thus pelting rain of them more than a typical property, never the less they are back in good shape again for a nice few years, exterior timber work needs to maintained or it could suffer from rot, it is a good idea to keep an eye on your windows and not let them become exposed, the last thing you need is to have to replace them.....
